Youth leadership programs have been a part of the Y since 1885. Over the years it has proven itself to be a valuable tool in the development of leadership skills in teens.
The Leaders Club Program is a youth development program with a special emphasis on service learning and the development of leadership skills and cultural competence. The purpose of YMCA Leaders Club Program is to challenge each participant to develop a stronger sense of self-confidence, independence, and cooperation, as well as to deepen his/her appreciation for the diversity and interdependence among the world's people creating cause driven leaders.
During the year, middle and high school student Leaders will take part in regular weekly meetings, training events, trips (rallies, ski trip, mission trip, service weekends), volunteering and fellowship. The Leaders Club is open to those in grades 6th -12th.
